Garden City High School (Class of 2002) and Yale University graduate (Class of 2006), Michael Marino has elected to assist with the rebuilding process of New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina by attending Tu-lane Medical School. New Orleans lost half of its medical professionals since the disaster. Last week, Michael was a participant in the Medical school's White Coat Ceremony for incoming students. Although Michael insists "divine intervention" landed him at Tulane, he does believe it is an important opportunity to help return New Orleans and its residents to a thriving improved city.
