A Fall Celebration Of Ministries

This Sunday September 9, the congregation of the Episcopal Cathedral of the Incarnation will be celebrating "Together Again Sunday" from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Be sure to stop for information about the Cathedral's programs and ministries for people of all ages and interests. There will be opportunities to obtain information about Fellowship and Outreach, Music and Choral Programs, Adult Formation programs and Sunday School and Youth activities. Refreshments will be served.

Registration for all Christian Education Programs for young people from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade will be held on Sunday, September 9 after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. Everyone is encouraged to register at this time so records can be updated and the program can begin on September 16.

Church School for grades pre-kindergarten through 6th grade will begin following the Family Mass. The Church School meets in the Mercer School on the Cathedral's property.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry will also meet on Sunday, September 9 at 10:30 a.m. on the front walk of the church (weather permitting). All are welcome to join this active group of knitters.

Conversation in Scripture Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cathedral House at 50 Cathedral Avenue. The first session will be An Introduction to the Bible led by Deacon Connie Lorenz.

Adult Christian Formation Classes will begin on Thursday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Christian Formation Room at the Cathedral House. Those who are new to the Episcopal Church, those who are returning to the church, those who desire to be confirmed or received into the Episcopal Church and those who wish to explore their faith are invited to come. This fall a new curriculum entitled "Via Media" will be used. "Via Media" is a video enhanced curricula designed to proclaim the Good News of God in Jesus Christ and to present the Episcopal Church in a contemporary and inclusive context. Participants will encounter basic principles of Christianity during the eight sessions.

The J2A (Journey to Adulthood) and Rite 13 Youth Groups for grades 7 through 12 will hold their first meeting on Sunday, September 23 at 6:45 p.m. at the Mercer School.
