U-11 GC Warriors Place Second In Ref-Fuel Tournament

The Garden City Warriors began their fall 2007 season with a 2nd Place finish in the highly competitive East Meadow Soccer Tournament, formerly known as the REF-FUEL Tournament. After starting the tournament on Saturday with a heartbreaking tie and a nail biting loss, the Warriors rebounded with three consecutive wins. Superb plays and exceptional individual efforts were turned in by Brogan Mahon, Chris Larkin, Bobby Clarke, Gerard Smith, Jonathan Granville, Matt Flynn, Chris Koester, Kyle Brattan, Matt Greiner, James Walsh, Jonathan Morris, Alex Franco, and Owen Fisher. This 2nd Place finish bodes well for the Warriors who will play their first league game on September 8th and their first cup game on September 16th.
