U-10 Bombers Take 1st Place At Covanta

The new U-10 boys Bombers "blasted" all of their opponents and went undefeated in all five games, taking 1st place in the annual East Meadow Covanta Tournament (formerly ReFuel) this past weekend.

These Bomber boys played with outstanding soccer skills and teamwork, winning their games handily with huge scores over Oceanside (7-0), Terryville (7-0), Bayport (10-1), Rockville Centre (8-1), and Massapequa (3-1). Defensively, the Bombers only let up 3 goals over 5 games. Goalkeepers Jay McNamara and John Wotczak did a great job, complementing the rock-solid Bomber defensive play shown by all of the boys.

Teamwork, teamwork, teamwork! As a new team, the Bombers switched positions frequently and all had turns on "D" as well as Offense. Every Bomber scored at least 1 goal! Their passing skills were impressive and effective, as everyone worked together as a team to get the job done.
