Summer Enrichment Program A Success

Mrs. Tina Hughes helped students with their craft projects.
For more than 40 years, Garden City students have enjoyed the various classes offered by the summer enrichment program. This year was no exception.

The program was housed at Homestead School for Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten-aged children and at Stratford School for students in second through fifth grades. Some of the courses offered this year were math, games, cooking, music and arts and crafts.


Mrs. Vita Gambino and Mrs. Linda Derlath worked in the Arts and Crafts class.
Mrs. Patricia Lupo worked with student volunteers.
Miss Heather Doyle and Miss Emily Courtade greeted arriving students at the doors every morning.
Mrs. Lana Noone took attendance before beginning th music lesson.
Mr. James McAleere and a student worked in the computer class.
Mrs. Joanne Koncick reviewed important places on the globe at the beginning of the morning.
These young ladies enjoyed working with beads.
Miss Claire Robitaille prepared the materials for the day's project.
Mr. Pete Frutkoff and a student prepared for the morning activities.
Children were able to work on computers during the morning class at Stratford.
Mr. Vincent Castellano and his students prepared for the days activities.
Everyone enjoyed science class.
Students enjoyed working on various activities on the computer.
These students were proud of the t-shirts they designed.
The children enjoyed working on their projects.
