Trio Solisti Returns For Two Concerts Trio Solisti, Adelphi's world-renowned ensemble-in-residence, returns for two performances on October 9 and October 30, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. The events are free and open to the public and will be held in the Ruth S. Harley University Center Ballroom, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY. Trio Solisti's members, violinist Maria Bachmann, cellist Alexia Pia Gerlach, and pianist Jon Klibonoff have performed throughout the United States and in 23 countries worldwide. All three members have been frequent guests of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, and have collaborated on performances with some of the finest musicians in the world. The 2007-2008 school year marks Trio Solisti's 6th season as ensemble-in-residence at Adelphi University. Trio Solisti will present Turina's Trio in B Minor, Paul Schoenfield's Cafe Music, Debussy's Sonata for Cello and Pi-ano, and Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibitionduring their recital "Pictures at an Exhibition" onOctober 9. On October 30, Trio Solisti will be joined by guest clarinetist Alan Kay, who will perform Brahms's Trio in A Minor; Bartok's Contrasts for Clarinet, Violin, and Piano; and traditional Klezmer songs for clarinet and trio.
