Cub Scouts Enjoy Fishing Trip

The Gartner family crew.
The Cub Scouts of Pack 7, family and friends experienced a great day of fishing on August 4 during their annual fishing trip on board the Princess Marie of Point Lookout.

The boys had their own personal techniques in baiting and hooking various types of fish. They caught blue fish, sea bass, fluke and believe it or not, sand sharks. The boys watched as the crew gutted and packaged fish caught to bring home.

At the end of the day everyone was happy as they went home with the memory of a great fishing trip.

Cub Scout Pack 7 is the longest acting pack in Nassau County, celebrating 75 years of scouting and chartered by the American Legion.

Cub Pack 7 will be having an open house and recruitment night on September 21st in the Garden City middle school cafeteria, featuring "Party Pets." If anyone would like to join this is a great opportunity to check out the pack.

Any boy in first grade through fourth grade may join.
