Still Seeking Supporters

To the Editor:

We are still looking for team members or supporters for "Race for the Cure" . A few weeks ago we posted a message and sent letters to Garden City residents to show their support for our Garden City team. One out of eight women are diagnosed with breast cancer and we want to run it out of town.

Please donate or walk or run with our team on Sept. 9, in Central Park. Any high school students who want to run - please go to our website: www.komennyc.org and click on "join team". Anyone young or old a can make a difference. Join the team online by August 20 (to receive materials and t-shirts in advance) or by August 27 (will receive them on the day of race). This is an important event and you can run or walk in memory of your love ones or in support of everyday survivors.
