What's Up For Young Adults At The Library

Registrations for Special YA Programs

Take advantage of the ease and convenience of registering for YA programs online. Simply email the Young Adult Librarian at mkelly@gardencitypl.org with Name, address, phone number, grade in September and program selection.

YA Guessing Game

The winner for the sixth week of the YA Guessing Game has been determined. Congratulations to Erin Higgins for guessing the amount of Mini Chocolates in the jar. Try your luck/skill in guessing the amount of treats in the jar all summer. There are only two weeks left.

Teens and Tots Storytime at the G.C. Pool

Thank you to all the volunteers who have faithfully and punctually read to all the Tots this summer. Once again this was a popular activity at the pool and would not have been possible with our teens who generously gave their time. Look for photos in upcoming issues.

Summer Reading Club - 2007

YNK- You Never Know at your library, the Young Adult Summer Reading Club is in full swing. Get a mini review in on paper or online so that you do not miss out on winning prizes or getting an invitation to the Back to School Bash. This year the Bash features a DDR, Dance Dance Revolution led by a DJ. The Back to School Bash, held on Wednesday evening August 29, is the perfect way to see old friends or meet new ones before school begins on Tuesday, September 4th. All you have to do is register and read one of the Summer Reading requirements for school and the invitation is yours.

For more information on these and future programs check the Garden City Public Library's website at www.gardencitypl.org . Funding for these programs has been provided by the Friends of the Garden City Public Library.
