County Clerk Welcomes Intern

Nassau County Clerk Maureen O'Connell (right) reviewed documents with summer intern Alex Gallo. Alex, who works in real estate recordings at the County Clerk's office, recently discussed with Clerk O'Connell the importance of the recording and verification functions performed in the land records department due to Nassau's strong real estate market. The land records department, where the mortgages and deeds are filed and recorded, is one of the busiest departments in the County Clerk's office. "Alex has been a tremendous asset to the department this summer," stated Ms. O'Connell. Alex plans on graduating in 2009 with a BA in Economics and International Affairs from George Washington University.
