From July 23 through July 27, 2007, Saint Anne's School welcomed in twenty-eight incoming third, fourth and fifth grade boys and girls to Saint Anne's Hoops Camp, a week-long morning basketball camp organized by head counselor Dylan Sullivan with assistance from his parents John and Mary Pat and Mary Lou Engrassia from the Saint Anne's business office.
After the orange camp T-shirts (provided by Doug O'Connor of Printable Concepts) were distributed, the campers were ready for their daily routine of warm-ups, a set of skills designed for each day of camp, followed by half-court practices using those specific skills, leading to full-court games captained by their counselors against other camp teams, finishing off with some fun games as the day ended.
The other seven high school senior counselors, which included Stephen LiMonta, Bridget McCarthy, Rich Adrian, Teresa Lynch, Stephen Kaiser, Claire Troiano and Elizabeth Mallozzi, organized the young campers into groups of four co-ed teams for the entire week. Also on hand to help with the Saint Anne's camp operations were junior high school counselors Sean Jones and Peter Healy, as well as the nursing crew of Maureen Jones, Jeananne King, Susan LiMonta and Mary Troiano.
