College Notes

The University of Scranton conferred more than 1,400 graduate and undergraduate degrees, including 900 bachelor's and associate's degrees, 503 master's degree and 17 doctoral degrees, at its Memorial day weekend commencement ceremonies. This was the largest post-baccalaureate class in the history of the Jesuit university.

Area degrees recipients are:

Dylan J. McCarthy, of Williston Park, BS, majoring in Elementary Education.

Patrick J. McManus, of Garden City BA, majoring in Philosophy.

Cynthia M. Satterlee, of Garden City, S, majoring in Elementary Education.

Lindsey N. Schroy, of Garden City BS, majoring in Nursing.
