Garden City Senior News The Garden City Recreation Department is pleased to announce their 2007 Summer Gazebo Concerts Series. All Concerts are held on Thursday evenings beginning at 7:15 p.m. at the Gazebo on the corner of Stewart and Hilton Avenues. Please bring a lawn chair and enjoy the evening. summer stretch class begins Our very popular stretch class will be offered from 9:15 to 10:15 every Tuesday and Thursday starting this Tuesday, July 17 th in Cluett Hall. The cost of this 6 week program will be $48. To register, please visit the Recreation Office in Village Hall.
radio city christmas spectacular There are still limited openings available for our trip to the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall and lunch at Koenigs on Wednesday, December 5 . The cost of the trip is $119.00 and a $40 deposit is necessary to hold a place on this trip. If you are interested in this trip, please visit the Recreation Office soon as space is limited and all remaining seats will go back to Prime Time Travel soon.

The Garden City Recreation Department, in conjunction with Prime Time Travel, is offering the following trips in the coming months: East Village Tour - On Tuesday, September 25th. Join us for a day of fun while we nosh our way through Greenwich Village. We will be led by a NYC tour guide who will take us to shops and eateries where we can sample all kinds of goodies. No specific lunch is scheduled as we will be noshing along the way. The cost of this trip will be $70. Radio City Christmas Spectacular - on Wednesday, december 5th. See above article for details. Registrations are being accepted now for these trips. A deposit will hold your reservation for any of these trips. Weekly Schedule for the new senior center The Senior Center at St. Paul's will be open on Wednesdays for your enjoyment. The Center will open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The following scheduled events will take place each Wednesday: Easy Stretching with Felicia from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Bag Lunch Social from noon to 2 p.m. In addition, Andrew will be there to run Bingo and Senior Feud! We will go back to regular hours after Labor Day. Come join in with the fun.
new mini golf course open Community Park's new mini golf course has met with spectacular success since its opening day in June. Over 1000 people a week have visited our new facility since the summer began and the reviews have been wonderful. The golf course is now open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. Improvements to the area have created a spectacular course sure to please any mini golf devotee. Rates for the course are as follows: Residents under 12 or residents aged 65 or older: $3.00 Residents 12 or older: $5.00 Non resident under 12: $4.00 Non resident 12 or older: $6.00 Please note that until construction is finished in the area, monies will be collected at the tennis hut located just north of the tennis facility. You will then be given a ticket to turn in to the attendant at the mini golf area.
