Yak & Snack #2

The second meeting of Yak & Snack for Young Adults will be held on Wednesday, August 1st at 7:30 PM. The book to be discussed is The Doom Stone by Paul Zindel. This book was a multi award winner, including the ALA Quick Pick for Reluctant Young Adult Readers and the New York Public Library Book for the Teen Age. This very suspenseful mystery tells the story of fifteen-year-old Jackson who visits his aunt in England and becomes caught up in a chase to capture an unknown creature who is stalking and killing people on the plains surrounding ancient Stonehenge. Reading this selection should chill you during these dog days. Come to talk about the book and Stonehenge with other YA's and the Young Adult Librarian. Register now at the library or online.
