Scholarship Winner Meets Board

On May 29 th, Justine Haimi, recipient of the Community Clubs' annual scholarship award, was introduced to the club's Board of Directors. Justine was accompanied by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Haimi. She has completed her final year of pre-med studies at Cornell and received excellent grades. She has also been involved in sports and extra-curricular activities.

The Haimi family arrived with cold cuts, salads and other provisions for a surprise luncheon for the board. It is believed that this is the first time a scholarship student has had an opportunity to meet board members.

The Community Club of Garden City and Hempstead offers a wide variety of quality programs, trips and creative art classes from October through May. For more information, call 746-0488 Tues, Wed. or Thurs. from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The office will be closed for the month of August.
