A truck stop was held at New Hyde Park Road on June 27, and 8 trucks were inspected with7 trucks taken out of service, 33 weight violations, and 80 total tickets...PO Bandl arrested a 25-year-old New Hyde Park woman for alleged DWI ( .15%), and allegedly speeding at 55 in a 30 at New Hyde Park Rd., on June 24...On June 29, PO Dallolio and PO Sansone arrested a 20-year-old Garden City man for criminal mischief felony after he was observed throwing the top of a garbage can through a window of a NHP Rd. business at 2:15 AM. He also had marijuana...PO Hickey arrested a 23-year-old Wyandanch man for alleged DWI (.13%) and allegedly speeding at 60 in a 30 at Old Country Rd. on July 1...PO Bandl arrested a 20-year-old Elmont man for alleged DWI (refusal), and alleged speeding( 65 in a 30), at NHP Rd., near Dartmouth Street, on June 29, 5:07 AM...PO Hickey arrested a 31-year-old Westbury man for alleged DWI, and no insurance, at St. James Street So./Clinton Rd., on June 30. The charge was a felony because of a previous DWI conviction...A 25-year-old Hollis man was arrested for DWI (refusal) at 4:44 AM on June 30, after he allegedly drove over lane markings at Cambridge Avenue...A 44-year-old East Meadow woman and her 19-year-old daughter were arrested at Lord and Taylor on June 23 at 2:45 PM after they allegedly took a $128 BCBG pair of shorts, a $67.89 pair of pants, and an $88 Free People sweater... Between June 29 and 30, a 1993 Voyager's rear window was found broken at Tannerspond Rd. $250 in damage...On July 1, 11:30 PM, a 16-year-old Far Rockaway male was arrested for the possession of a controlled substance 7th degree( crack cocaine) at Field 2S... police responded to the scene of a 2-car accident involving two women, one of whom, a 79-year-old Lynbrook woman, had been ejected from her car there on Hilton Avenue/Sixth Street and who was later pronounced dead at Winthrop Hospital...
