PTA Installs Officers

PTA officers and teacher representatives

The Garden City PTA held its general PTA meeting and installation of officers on Monday, June 4th in the high school library.

The PTA presented Dr. Marie Braccia and Lynn Hayes with Honorary Life Member recognition. This award was given in recognition of their great contribution to the well-being of children and many years working to ensure quality education for Garden City students. The contribution made for this award will be used toward the NYS PTA Jenkins Memorial Scholarship Fund to assist outstanding students in preparing for the teaching profession and the NYS PTA Teacher Fellowship Fund for Graduate Study, which encourages excellent teachers to continue their studies and to expand their professional horizons.

The PTA was honored to have Dr. Braccia perform the induction of the PTA officers and teacher representatives for the 2007-2008 school years.
