Class Of 1957 Honored

Adelphi University's Class of 1957

The class of 1957 was honored during Adelphi University's 111 th Commencement held on May 21 st at Nassau Coliseum. Garden City resident Alfred Urban was one of those honored.

The reunion class who wore gold robes and were seated in front of the platform, were treated to a standing ovation by graduates and faculty. Muriel Urban, who had her 50 th reunion last year, proceeded with the faculty of the School of Arts and Sciences since she had been on the faculty at Hofstra University.

Alfred was an evening division student who attended under the G.I. Bill and was elected to Alfa Sigma Lambda, the Evening Division Society. He was active in the Men's Association and when that group became part of the Adelphi Alumni Association, he served on the board as an alumni chapter president.
