GCAA Central League Wrap-Up Central League season ending wrap-up: The regular season came to end this week in the Central division. Coaches and fans saw many close games this season. In the end the A's and Marlins led their respective divisions as we cruise into the playoffs. The A's were led by the talented trio of Matt Greene, Robby Gavigan and Ray leto. The Red Sox displayed awesome hitting and were led by Matt Flynn, Nick Giannone and Brian Goepfert. The Phillies battled every game thanks to the efforts of John Dehler, Brian Goulard and Conor Muldoon. The Yankees had a great year behind the core of Drew Kiley, Kenny Nygaard and James Amato and Jonathon Granville. The White Sox were led by big hitters Mike Holland, Tim Paisley and Tom Van Wallendael. The Marlins hoisted the regular season crown and were almost unbeatable behind Matt Rogers, Joe Torres, Nayeem Baksh and Justin Samardich. The Rockies were solid, led by Luke Zeccola and Ryan Blair. The Cubs played great behind the exploits of Steve Wald, Bobby Clarke and Kyle Wein. The Mets were tough to beat, led by Daniel Combatti, Ryan Giancini and Marty Waters. The D-backs were led by Richie Mattone and Reed Bonivisutto.
