David R. Hill

Dave passed away on June 4 in Bridgeport, CT. He lived in Garden City for many years, first on Jefferson Street and then on Ninth Street. He moved to Connecticut to raise his children and then retired to Great Barrington, MA, living in a home on Lake Mansfield that was built by his grandfather. Ask him anything and if he didn't have the answer, he would have it for you by the next day. And yet he was a handy man and could fix anything. He loved spending time on the beach and visiting New York City. His other hobbies included the stock market, gardening and nature, His easy going personality, ready smile, quick wit, and helpfulness endeared him to family and friends. Sadly missed by his children, Laurie Howe, Andrew and his wife Patricia, and Alexander and his wife Anjanette, grandchildren Davey, Victor, Danny, and Caleb Howe, Andrew, Christopher David, Vanessa Hill, Fiona and Remy (David Ramsay Hill, named for his grandfather, in the Scottish tradition), his sister, Elizabeth Lawder and her family.
