GCAA Baseball Pacific League Highlights

Giants- The Giants played an exciting one run game. William Mulhall Nicholas Ahrem led the hitting attack while John Mackey pitched lights out.

Cubs - The Cubs pitching was exceptional this week from Jack Rogers, James DeSousa and Ryan Pascale. Jack McCarthy played great defense as second baseman to retire a batter in the late innings.

Pirates- The Pirates had additional strong outings last week. Peter Sceusa, Michael Franco, Garrett Morgan and Brandon Brugnone led the offensive attack. The quartet also flashed the leather in their finest defensive displays of the season.

Devil Rays- The Pacific Devil Rays continue to play exciting baseball. Mike Miller turned in an unassisted double play while at SS and continued his strong pitching. Kyle Quinn continues to play stellar defense with several web gems. Also, Kyle's speed on the bases and consistent hitting are big reasons the Rays continue to score. Mike Nygaard continues to pitch strikes and pile up the hits and RBIs.

Blue Jays- Excellent power pitching by Owen Prendergast and Great catching job by Brendan Dolan. Offense was led by Luke Thompson and Robert Hyer.

Royals- Royals played another strong game this week. Connor Dunne threw two strong innings of scoreless baseball. The team defense was flawless led by Connor Molloy making play after play, and Nick Vella smacked the team's first home run of the season.

Yankees- The Yankees played a tight game with the Cardinals. Sean Dillmeier showed his diverse talents at bat, in the field and ptiching as did Timothy Benson. Nick Pena continued his torrid hitting. Joe Como was tough at bat and in the field.

Mariners- In one of the best played games of the season, the Mariners got strong pitching from Matty Chmil, Liam McAndrews and Jake(Mr. Loredo) Murray and clutch hitting behind Mike DeSanti and TJ Michielini, for a stirring come from behind, nail-biting finish!

Mets- Shayne Gallagher from the pitching position caught a hard pop fly and pitched a fine game as did Nick Lavinio. Great hitting from the entire team especially from Billy Bice and Christian Ferris. Jason Hennig and Jack Keenan as usual gave flawless performances from the catchers position.
