One by one, the Daredevils hung up their surfboards, folded their beach towels, turned off their IM's, and packed their soccer bags for the ultimate sacrifice...traveling up to East Fishkill, New York for a one day soccer tournament in the middle of the Memorial Day Weekend. Each player knew the true definition of TEAM - making the journey and being there for each other, even though surf's up!

All would agree --- it was well worth the trip. The Daredevils took first place in the tournament and were undefeated with 10 goals over three games, and letting up just one goal overall. Lauren Coleman, Taylor Pappas, Jacqueline Jahelka, and Courtney Studdert controlled the middle and defensive ends of the game, with goals being produced by the following team plays:

1.Liesle Jaye to Jane Frumberg to Carly Knowles...GOAL!

2.Erin Greiner to Nicole Bommarito...GOAL!

3.Lilly Schmitt to Carly Knowles to Krista Dampman to Nicole Bommarito....GOAL!

4.Brynn Murphy... GOAL!

7.Kelsey Tierney to Carly Knowles....GOAL!

8.Carly Knowles to Kelsey Tierney....GOAL!

10. Niki Berkerey to Brynn Murphy....GOAL!

Coaches Charlie Frumberg and John Studdert mixed up the team throughout the tournament, enabling players to try different positions and just have some "fun in the sun." With Kelsey Tierney taking a step out of the net to score and assist goals, Nicole Bommarito and Jane Frumberg shared the goal to defend a 4-0 shutout to clinch first place.

With trophies in hand, and lots of smiles and laughs too, the Daredevils returned to their family and friends to enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Congratulations Daredevils!
