On a recent Sunday, members of all ages of the Cathedral of the Incarnation's congregation literally rolled up their sleeves to aid the Long Island Blood Services conduct a very successful blood donation drive. The Long Island Blood Service is a division of New York Blood Center. As we enter the summer months, the number of donors tends to go down because of vacations and more unstructured time. Please think about giving the gift of life to someone before you begin your summer vacation. You can contact the Long Island Blood Services through their website at www.NYBLOODCENTER.ORG to find out when and where the next drives are being held in the local area or to arrange for your group or organization to sponsor a blood drive. Remember, one donation can save 3 people's lives. Won't you give that gift to someone in need?
