Historical Society Racks Up Great Raffle Prizes

The Garden City Historical Society's Flea Market Raffle Committee reports a lengthy list of great prizes for the Society's Saturday, June 2, event. The flea market takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine, on the Historical Society Museum property, 109 Eleventh Street. Two dollars a ticket, three tickets for $5 puts your name in the fish bowl to become a lucky winner!

As of this week, the Society's Raffle Committee, Kathy Louros, Ellen Moynahan, Jessica Rutledge, Nancy Peretz and Gloria Jones, report a bundle of outstanding prizes donated by these Historical Society Museum supporters:

In addition, the Flea Market Day will include a Silent Auction, which will feature such items as: two original paintings by local artists, Commemorative Waterford Times Square Centennial pieces, Waterford champagne stopper, Belleek, Tiffany silver bowl, and an antique lady's dresser set (brush, comb, mirror), among other items. Lastly, some fortunate winner will share the profit of a "Lucky Buck" drawing.

Homeowner and vendor booths will show antiques, furniture, curios, lamps, yard décor, bric-a-brac, crafts, books and more. Purchase a $5 coupon and have your antique appraised by Garden City's own Ann Madonia Antiques.
