GCAA Baseball Pacific League Weekly Highlights Giants- The Giants were lead this week by the pitching of Michael Bonomi, the hitting of Michael DeSimone and the fielding of Mark Luglio. Cubs - The Cubs' bats came alive this week with clutch hitting by Sam Lucchesi, James DeSousa, Jack McCarthy and Thomas Riggers. Several of the hits were doubles into the gap in left center. Mets- -Billy Bice put-out two base runners at second base from his left field position early in the week. The team had strong pitching from James Linehan, Nick Lavinio and Shayne Gallagher. Pirates-The Pirates received timely hitting from Tyler Sarkis and Patrick Plunkett and outstanding versatility from Garrett Morgan as their strong play continued this past week. Devil Rays- The Devil Rays have been playing some exciting baseball in May. The Rays were led by the strong pitching of Mike Miller, Mike Nygaard, and Jack McManus. Nygaard and McManus turned a double play and had several hits each. Kyle Quinn has been sparking the offense reaching base in eight straight at-bats. Royals- The Royals had another strong week. The hitting of Connor Molloy and Jack Roscoe coupled with the strong fielding of Nick Vella and Eric Thorstenn led to two great games. Blue Jays- James Walsh's heads up play has improved the Jay's team defense immensely while the pitching of Brendan Coors and Danny LaRose has resulted in some extremely close games. Mariners- The Mariners contined their strong play behind the great offensive performances of Christian Irwin and David Leary. Jake Murray once again closed the game. Yankees- The Yankees played a couple of exciting games against their arch rivals the Red Sox and the A's. Nick and Chris Mixon along with Leo Durante contributed timely hits against the Red Sox. Nick Pena did a fine job pitching against the A's.
