Fifth Grade Rams Lacrosse Mother's Day Victory

Tough defense by Brendan McLaughlin, Matt Lehan, Pat Gerespach and Michael Cassano.

The fifth grade Rams gave their moms an extra special Mother's Day gift with a 10-1 victory over Wantagh bringing their record to 4-1. The superb attack team of Kiernan Byrnes, Jack Lucchesi and Matt Cullen kept constant pressure on Wantagh's goalie for much of the game. The middies, ever so powerful, Michael Catalano, Brian Bingham, Michael Randazzo, Thomas Reina, Anthony Preziosi, Ryan Giacini, and Brendan McLaughlin were in control of much of the action. The tough defensive squad of Drew Pascale, Patrick Mohan, Matt Lehan, Patrick Gerspach and Conor Byrnes rose to the occasion and thwarted most of Wantagh's offensive efforts. The sharp focus and quick reflexes of goalie Michael Cassano allowed only one goal the entire game. At the end of the game, the dedicated and thoughtful coaches Byrnes, McLaughlin, and Lucchesi had each of the boys (including Jack Reina on the DL) present their moms with a flower to complement their special day.
