Pool Training Sessions

Young Adults who will be in grades 6 - 12 in September 2007 are invited to share their time and talents with youngsters aged 2-8 during July and August at the Garden City Pool. Continuing a twenty year tradition, the Library in cooperation with the Garden City Department of Recreation will be holding "Teens & Tots Storytime" at the pool on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons beginning July 10 and ending August 8. If a Young Adult has participated in the past, a letter has been sent inquiring as to availability this summer. If this is the first summer you are eligible or available, it is necessary for the volunteer to be trained. The Young Adult Department held training sessions in April. All volunteers must be trained. If you are interested but were unable to attend the formal trainings, please contact the Young Adult Librarian to arrange an alternative training. New volunteers may inquire by phone or by email to mkelly@gardencitypl.org.
