| The Garden City Power U-10 girl's soccer team played a highly competitive match against Massapequa on Saturday. Garden City came out strong against a skilled Massapequa team. Both teams were provided with many scoring opportunities and the Power defense did an excellent job of clearing the ball out of their own end. The first half ended in a 1-0 Power lead. Garden City earned a second goal to take a 2-0 lead mid-way through the second half. A relentless Massapequa offense put heavy pressure on the Power goalie late in the second half, who made some great saves. After much effort, Massapequa scored two goals in the final minutes to leave the Power with a 2-2 tie against this formidable opponent.
