3rd Grade Lacrosse Off To Great Start

With Coaches Tim Irwin, Larry Schmelzinger, Tom Luglio, Paul McDougal, and John McDaid the boys were feeling good after the first game win!
Garden City 3rd grade Lacrosse got off to a fantastic start this past weekend with a beautiful day and a great first game. Teams Johns Hopkins and Duke played an action packed game with Johns Hopkins pulling ahead for the win. Both teams saw goals in the first quarter, and played hard while still having fun. By the second half Johns Hopkins took the lead with the help of fast breaks by Timmy Schmelzinger and Luke McDaid. Several shots were stopped by goalies Kevin McDougal and Sam Luchessi, and the defense on both sides worked hard to keep the game interesting. With such amazing young athletes on both teams it is going to be a great season for all the teams, and these two teams will be looking forward to meeting again!
