Knights "Phantastic Baseball Holiday!"

"Msgr. John's Knights," led by their Chaplain Father Rudy Pescongco and Grand Knight Bob Guida, are sponsoring a "Phantastic Baseball Holiday!" on June 4 to visit the new "world-class" Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia--much talked-about home of the National League Phillies.

They'll be asking fans on the trip what new or unusual features in the Phillies park they'd like to see in the coming new Mets and Yankee home fields.

Fans in the Garden City area are welcome to reserve luxury bus and ballpark seats for a total of only $65 per combination. The game, featuring the Phillies vs. the San Francisco Giants, will start at 1:05 P.M. The 55-seat luxury bus (with toilet facilities) will leave at 9:00A.M. sharp from St. Anne's Church parking lot, New Hyde Park Road and Dartmouth St.

Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be received at St. Anne's Rectory, 35 Dartmouth St., Garden City 11530 by Friday, May 4. They may be made at the Rectory or by mail (address above). Make checks payable to "Msgr. John's Knights," inserting words "Philly Game" on memo line. Include in request name, address, phone number and $65 for each luxury bus-ballpark seat combination. Reservations must arrive in St. Anne's Rectory by Friday, May 4 but, it is warned, seats may be sold out before that deadline.

The new ballpark is touted by Philadelphians as "the friendliest park in major league baseball." Mets fans can impishly attest to this since their rejuvenated club set a new team record there last year hitting seven home runs in one game!

The new 43,500 seat Citizen's Bank Ballpark, its promoters say, is every bit as spectacular as it is intimate--with breath-taking views, a staggering array of special features, restaurants, shops and most importantly, a natural grass playing field. It's a combination of Philadelphia's rich Phillies and A's baseball traditions and unmistakable 21st century style. The playing field is scooped out 23 feet below street level! Nearly half of the fans entering the ballpark WI LL STEP DOWN to their field-level seats! The walk-around open-air concourses offer a continuous, uninterrupted view of the field. You can watch the game whether you're in a seat, a concourse, a restaurant, a suite or a club lounge!

Visiting fans are sure to look on in awe at four 10-ft tall bronze statues of Phillies Hall of famers and wonder how, for instance, Tom Seaver, Babe Ruth and other Mets and Yanks might look in their place. There's also a Cooperstown Gallery of 32 oil paintings of Hall of Fame Phils, A's and Native Sons. A lighted replica of Philadelphia's famed Liberty Bell--The Home Run Spectacular-- towers 100 feet above street level and rings after every Phillies home run. Also, on the unique side, are roof-top bleacher seats and the largest children's "soft-play" play area in major league baseball!

All aboard for the Msgr. John's Knights "Phantastic Baseball Holiday!" Monday, June 4th. Take-off time: 9:00A.M. Sharp.

Don't be shut out! Make your reservations now!
