Thursday Luncheon Group Update

An update program for senior citizens will be presented by Melissa Atkinson, a social worker and family therapist with the Family and Children's Association. This program will include a report on the "Garden City Project" today and the opportunity for the future. The program will be on Thursday, April 26 at the Garden City Community Church.

Mrs. Salko will introduce the speaker and inform the group of ongoing programs for seniors, such as her exercise program three times a week at the Lutheran Church. She holds a B.S. in education, a M.A. in Guidance and an M.S.W. in Social Work.

The program begins at 12 noon in the church parlor and please bring a sandwich for lunch. Dessert and beverage will be provided by hostesses Janice Salem and Carolyn Kaiser.

Members of the community are welcome and if you need transportation please call the church office 746-1700. Looking forward to seeing you on the 26th from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m.

The Garden City Community Church is part of the United Church of Christ. Worship services are Sundays at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. with the church school for children and a crib room for infants and toddlers art the later service.
