Garden City Flames Tie With Rival Massapequa

The Garden City Flames had a great game against the Massapequa Chaos on March 31, finishing in a 1-1 tie. The friendly rivals have faced each other three times in the '06/'07 season, tieing all three games! Massapequa scored early on in the game and the first half ended with them leading 1-0, but the Flames came roaring back in the second half. Tim Collins, Alex Franco and Luciano Migliori played aggressively to keep the ball in play and to bring it up the field. Strong defense provided by Billy Trimmer, Connor Tariche and Greg Pahlavi, further supported by some great saves by goalie Chris Costigan, kept the Chaos from scoring again. With ten minutes to go in the game, Brett Alvarez kicked a great pass from the side of the goal, which Chris Koester shot into the net to tie the game. Great teamwork all around by the Flames!
