Cheerleading Clinic Spots Still Available

It's not too late to sign up for the cheerleading clinic sponsored by the Garden City High School Cheerleading Squads. Children in grades 2 through 7 are invited to a fun cheerleading clinic on May 5. Today's cheerleaders are athletes with a wide range of skills, including precision movements, gymnastics and tumbling, lifting and pyramids, and dancing ability. This clinic will be taught with all different age groups in mind and each group will be taught separately.

* Saturday, May 5, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Garden City High School main gym

* $35 fee includes a Garden City Cheerleading t-shirt, snacks, and 3 hours of instruction. (Siblings are $30 each)

* Participants get to cheer with the GCHS cheerleaders at a 2007 fall football game (half-time performance)

* The participants will learn cheer techniques, proper yelling techniques, dances, and basic-level stunting.

* Hurry, register by April 15 to guarantee a t-shirt for your child! To register, send an e-mail with your child's name, grade, address and t-shirt size to gccheering@yahoo.com. For more information about the clinic, contact Coach Sara Tucci at tuc4886@aol.com.
