Newest Trends in Breast Cancer Treatment Panel

The Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer program presents its popular annual panel of breast cancer specialists telling about the latest trends in breast cancer treatment. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 8, at 7 pm at Adelphi's University Center in Garden City, Long Island.

Irene Virag, freelance writer, Newsday garden columnist and breast cancer survivor, will moderate. These are the panelists:

-- Erna B. Busch-Devereaux, MD, FACS, a breast surgeon, practices in Huntington and is affiliated with North Shore University Hospital-Manhasset, Syosset Hospital and Huntington Hospital. She is an assistant professor of clinical surgery at NYU School of Medicine.

-- Pamela R. Drullinsky, MD, one of the first medical oncologists at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center regional site in Rockville Centre, specializes in treating breast cancer and hematological malignancies and actively participates in clinical research to bring new protocols to the community to make treatment more accessible.

-- Lyle Leipziger, MD, FACS, is Chief of the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at North Shore University Hospital andLong Island Jewish Medical Center. He has been consistently chosen for New York Magazine's "The Best Doctors in New York" and has been selected as one of "America's Top Doctors" by Castle Connolly Medical Guide.

-- Lorraine Marin, MD, is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology. She has been an attending physician in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park since 1993 and is Assistant Professor in Radiation Oncology at Albert Einstein School of Medicine.
