AAUW To Meet

The monthly meeting of the Garden City Branch of the American Association of University Women will be held on Monday evening, April 2 at 7:30 at the Garden City Library. The guest speaker will be Nancy Mion, New York State Public Policy director for A.A.U.W. who will discuss - "Human Trafficking." This topic has received attention at the United Nations and has also become an issue in the United States as part of the immigration issue. Ms. Mion, a former A.A.U.W. state president will discuss the various facets of this crime and what can be done to respond to it on a local level. The program is part of the mission of the American Association of University Women's - "to foster equity and positive societal change.

Interested members of the community are invited to attend.
