The Garden City High School Cheerleading Squads invite children in grades 2 through 7 to join them at a fun cheerleading clinic on May 5. Today's cheerleaders are athletes with a wide range of skills, including precision movements, gymnastics and tumbling, lifting and pyramids, and dancing ability. Cheerleading encourages cardiovascular stamina and strength-building. This clinic will be taught with all different age groups in mind and each group will be taught separately.

* Saturday, May 5, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Garden City High School main gym

* $35 fee includes a Garden City Cheerleading t-shirt, snacks, and 3 hours of instruction. (Siblings are $30 each)

* Participants get to cheer with the GCHS cheerleaders at a 2007 fall football game (half-time performance)

* The participants will learn cheer technique, proper yelling technique, dances, and basic-level stunting.

* Hurry, deadline for registration is April 15! To register, send an e-mail with your child's name, grade, address and t-shirt size to gccheering@yahoo.com. For more information about the clinic, contact Coach Sara Tucci at tuc4886@aol.com.
