Friends Of Music Student Showcase

The Garden City Friends of Music is busy scheduling student musicians for their annual Student Showcase to be held on Sunday, April 15th at 2pm in the beautiful Parlor of the Garden City Community Church on Stewart Ave and Whitehall Blvd. We invite all student musicians from grades 2-12 to perform. All students in Garden City Schools are welcome to display their talents in our cozy and friendly setting. We encourage soloists, duets and trios to perform all genres of music, from classical to jazz to pop. Space limitations prevent larger groups from performing. Get a few friends together and have some fun, or practice your upcoming NYSMA piece for the audience. Many students also debut their original compositions on our stage. Anything Goes!

Students must preregister prior to their performance by calling Liz Colantonio at 248-8525. Please provide the title of your musical selection along with the composer. Deadline to register is Sunday, April 1, 2007. As space is limited, please do not delay to ensure your spot. The Friends of Music is a non-profit organization that raises funds in support of music education and the music programs in Garden City Schools.
