Renegades Tune Up

Coach Esposito getting the team ready to play
If yesterday was any indication of what is to come this season for the 4th grade Renegades they are looking at being very successful. The Renegades participated in the March Madness Lacrosse Tournament on Saturday and since they are a new team, weren't exactly sure how things were going to turn out. Well they exceeded all expectations. The Renegades went 3 - 1 with every child doing their part. The day which consisted of 4 games, beautiful weather got off to the start they were looking for. The offense went right to work averaging 9 goals a game. Many of those goals came from moving the ball and crisp passing. Most of the goals included an assist or two which made the coach very happy. The kids worked very well together as a team despite it being so early in the season. Several of the kids scored goals. Some had more than one on the day. The defense displayed throughout the day was also a nice surprise. The kids were aggressive and all over the ground balls which were particularly tough to pick up due to field condition. The defense stopped many odd man rushes and took the body when needed. The goalie came up big all day. When called on he made point blank saves and cleared the ball well. It was a great team effort.

Renegades protecting the goal
Overall it was a nice day had by all. Winning 3 of 4 probably helped. We are looking forward to a fun, successful season.
