Music In The Cathedral Series As part of the Music in the Cathedral series, the choirs of The Cathedral of the Incarnation will be performing on Sunday, March 18 at 4:00 p.m. The combined choirs of Men and Boys, the Girls' Choir and the Schola Cantorum (Women's Choir) will be directed by the Cathedral's organist and choirmaster Larry Tremsky. The Cathedral choirs are modeled on the great cathedral choirs of England and constitute one of the longest running programs of its kind in the United States. Featured in this concert will be the Missa Brevis by twentieth-century Hungarian composer Zoltan Kodaly and the great Beatus vir of Claudio Monteverdi. Motets from the German Romantic era by Felix Mendelssohn, Josef Rheinberger and Johannes Brahms will also be sung by the choirs. The Cathedral of the Incarnation is located at 50 Cathedral Avenue, Garden City. Tickets for the concert will be available at the door and are $15 for general seating and $5 for high school and college students. Children under 13 will be admitted free. For more information about the concert or joining the Cathedral Choirs, please call the Cathedral office at 746-2955.
