Mallard - Keith Engagement

Edward Keith and Elizabeth Mallard

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry G. Mallard of Jacksonville, NC announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Humphrey Mallard, to Edward Pember Keith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry F. Keith of Garden City.

Last November, the Mallards hosted a traditional Southern "pig pickin'" to celebrate the engagement. The wedding will take place September 15 in Jacksonville, NC.

Beth and Ted are 2002 Journalism School graduates from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they met as sophomores. They both reside in New York City, where Beth is a senior account executive for Edelman public relations and Ted is a writer-reporter for Sports Illustrated Kids magazine. Ted attended Garden City public schools and graduated from Garden City High School in 1998.

Mr. and Mrs. Mallard are both employed in the Onslow County school system. Mr. and Mrs. Keith are both retired from Sports Illustrated.
