Nursery School News

Students enjoyed a snack during a recent nursery school class.
Garden City Nursery School's mission is to nurture and educate young children in a warm and caring atmosphere. Children are encouraged to expand their natural curiosity, to build positive self-esteem and to learn to interact with others.

The boys and girls had an exciting holiday season, decorating the classrooms and making holiday projects. In keeping with the spirit of the season, the children donated new toys, scarves, hats and mittens to be donated to the INN (The Interfaith Nutrition Network in Hempstead). The children learned a wonderful lesson about giving.

In January, the children made self-portraits and studied a unit on Arctic and Antarctic animals and their habitats.
