Friends Begin 2007 Campaign

Jane MacDougall hands her contribution to Tom Richmond, left, vice president, and to Sal Catania, right, president, thus becoming the first Village resident to contribute to the Friends of the Librarys annual membership drive. All households in the Village received a mailing this week including an announcement of new program offering free museum family passes. Last year, the Friends provided funding for over 167 programs geared to all ages. The membership drive and the sale of donated books are the sole source of revenue for the Friends to continue serving the library and the public as it has been doing since 1952.
