Crosson To Discuss Affordable Housing

Matthew Crosson, President of the Long Island Association, and keynote speaker, will discuss the need for affordable housing for our children and seniors at 7 p.m. March 6 at the Nassau County Bar Association building at 15th Street and West Street in Mineola. Everyone is invited to come and bring their questions.

As president of the Long Island Association, the region's business organization, Mr. Crosson understands the need for "Next Generation/Work Force Housing and its importance to economic growth on Long Island. Residents have important questions about how this need affects our economy, how it work and the impacts it may have for Long Island communities.

The program is sponsored by the Next Generation Housing Group in Garden City, the League of Women Voters of Nassau County, Vision Long Island, the Long Island Council of Churches. Sustainable Long Island. The Jewish Center of Garden City, The Unitarian-Universalist Church of Garden City, the Social Action Committee of the Unitarian Universalist church in Shelter Rock, and a number of religious leaders in Garden City.

Providing affordable housing for the next generation of Long Islanders is among the most important single issues facing Garden City and all of Long Island. Residents are invited to come to learn, discuss and ask questions.
