Garden City Basketball - Fun City !

Our normal Saturday intramural program is ON! The Saturday program has no off dates and runs in its normal timeslots through March 24th.

The 7th/8th/9th grade Boys program, "Friday Night Lights", at Stewart School has its next session on Friday March 2nd at 8pm.

A big thank you to the children that submitted Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA S.T.A.R. Essays (Sportsmanship, Teamwork, a Positive Attitude, and Respect). This has been and continues to be a great opportunity to use a "non-sports" activity to help teach life's lessons. As a proud member of the Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA, Garden City Basketball is greatly encouraged to see that our participants are demonstrating the values and character of what it means to be a part of NBA Cares. Our participants are focused on fun and development with no tension and no pressure. This is making Garden City Basketball a great program. There are five more intramural sessions left. We look forward to watching our participants continue to simply have a good time.

Save a special spot on your calendar...Sunday March 25th for "Hoops that Help", a charity event that Garden City Basketball has partnered with TWIGs of Winthrop University Hospital to benefit Winthrop's Child Life Program. The Child Life Program focuses on helping children cope with the fear and anxiety of hospitalization. This special event will hosted by Adelphi University's Athletic Department. Refreshments will be served throughout the day and everyone will have the opportunity to win an exciting raffle prize!

Check the "Upcoming Events" tab on the www.gardencitybasketball.org website for other special events and activities.
