trip to the philadelphia flower show

The Recreation Department will sponsor a trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show through Prime Time Travel on Wednesday, March 7 th. Prime Time Travel will pick our group up in the morning from Lord & Taylor's parking lot. We will travel to Philadelphia and spend the rest of the morning and afternoon visiting the various sights and displays at this amazing event. Lunch is "on your own." The cost of this trip is $66 and seating is limited.

To reserve a seat on this trip, please visit the Recreation Department in Village Hall. Payment must accompany reservations. Please make all checks payable to "Prime Time Travel." For further information, please call the Recreation Office at 465-4075.

trip to ny historical society and lunch

Come join the Recreation Department on March 22 for a Prime Time Travel trip to visit one of New York's most interesting places. We will leave in the morning and first have lunch at the famed Tavern on the Green in beautiful Central Park. After lunch we will travel uptown for a guided tour of one of the city's best kept secrets, the New York Historical Society Museum. The museum's collection of memorabilia and art dates will show you things from the past through today. Transportation will be by coach bus.

The cost of the trip will be $87. Space is limited to 25 people. To register for this trip, please visit the Recreation Department in Village Hall as soon as possible. Payment must be made in full at the time of registration. Make all checks payable to "Prime Time Travel."

broadhollow theatre's "Crossing delancey"

The Recreation Department is sponsoring a trip Wednesday, March 28 th to Broadhollow Theatre's Prodcution of "Crossing Delancey", a romantic comedy. This 2 pm performance will take place at Elmont Library's new theater.

The Recreation bus will leave the new Senior Center in the Cottages at St. Paul's at 1 pm and will return all participants to the Center after the performance.

The cost of this trip will be $20.00. Seating is very limited. Please visit the Recreation Office in Village Hall to register for the trip.

Weekly Schedule for the senior center

Here is the schedule of events for the next two weeks at the Recreation Department's New Senior Center in the Cottage at St. Paul's:

Monday, February 26 - Bingo at 11 a.m.

Tuesday, February 27 - Board games from 11 to 1 p.m. challenge our staff to a game or set up your own, we have many games to choose from.

Wednesday, February 28 - Brown Bag Social - Bring a brown bag lunch at noon and enjoy the company.

Thursday, March 1 - Walking group at 11 a.m. Weather permitting, group meets and then walks the grounds of St. Paul's, then retires to the Senior Center to eat brown bag lunches.

Create!!! - Come to the Senior Center at 1 p.m. and help create projects that are then donated to hospitalized children.

Monday, March 5 - Gentle Exercise at 10 a.m. with Felicia Lovaglio - this is a free program.

Bingo at 11 a.m.

Art Seminar with Helene at 1 p.m. - Learn the basics of drawing with a noted Garden City resident artist. All supplies will be provided. The program is free.

Tuesday, March 6 - Board games from 11 a.m.

Wednesday, March 7 - Brown Bag Social - Bring a brown bag lunch at noon and enjoy the company.

Lecture at 1 p.m. - Justice Allen S. Mathers will speak on important senior topics

Thursday, March 8 - Walking group at 11 a.m. Weather permitting, group meets and then walks the grounds of St. Paul's, then retires to the Senior Center to eat brown bag lunches.
