Exhibition: "Plein Air" Painting Of Garden City

Fine artist Noel Darvie will present "plein air" paintings of Garden City landscapes and noted are buildings in the lower gallery March 2-30 2007 at the Garden City Public Library. View work created on location ("en plein air") of places such as the Garden City Cathedral. St. Paul's. The Old Courthouse, plus many more. This award-winning artist is a member of the Hudson Valley Art Association and the New York Plen Air Painters. His entire collection which includes scenic marine paintings, sits at Old Westbury Gardens, as well as other beautiful places can be seen at his website www.noeldarvie.com.

Showcase Display: Garden City Girl Scouts

The Garden City Girl Scouts will display a variety of hand-made crafts created by local troops in the Garden City Public Library's showcases for the month of March 1-28, 2007. This exhibit will represent 47 troops including: Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette and Senior.

Exhibits are free and open to the public during regular library hours.
