Hoops That Help!

On Sunday, March 25th, The TWIGS of Winthrop University Hospital will partner with Garden City Basketball for a fun-filled day of basketball clinics sponsored by John Skramko and hosted by Adelphi University's Athletic Department. The event will consist of 90 minute clinics for various age groups and guest speakers will provide valuable information for the participants. Refreshments will be served throughout the day and everyone will have the opportunity to win an exciting raffle prize!

Every hoop helps so please save the date! Winthrop's Child Life Program focuses on helping children cope with the fear and anxiety of hospitalization. Certified Child Life Specialists utilize play and education to improve the understanding of medical procedures; teach relaxation techniques to help patients cope with illness or surgery, and provide emotional support for the entire family.
