Breast Cancer Walk Recruitment Meeting

Nassau County residents and friends are invited find out how they can participate in the Long Island 2 Day Walk to Fight Breast Cancer. The orientation will be held on Wednesday, March 14 from 6 to 7 pm at the Adelphi School of Social Work, Room 302. Participants can sign up to do the walk, or volunteer to help before and at the walk, which will be held June 9 and 10, 2007.

This will be the fourth year for the Long Island 2 Day Walk to Fight Breast Cancer, which takes walkers on a two-day, 35-mile journey through picturesque Suffolk County. Last year the walk raised over $400,000 for Long Island breast cancer-related organizations, which includes the Adelphi NY Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline & Support Program.
