Zuaro - D'Angelo Wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Peter D'Angelo
Kara Surlis Zuaro, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Zuaro of Bethpage, and Peter John D'Angelo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Paul D'Angelo of Garden City, were married Saturday afternoon, December 2nd, at Saint Martin of Tours Church in Bethpage. Deacon Thomas Hennessy, a friend of the bride, presided at the ceremony. An evening reception was held at The Carltun, Eisenhower Park.

The bride, 27, is the Editor-in-Chief of Brooklyn Record, an internet magazine. Her first cookbook, I Like Food, Food Tastes Good will be published by Hyperion Books in April. A 1997 graduate of Bethpage High School, Kara, a film studies and English major, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2001.

The groom, 28, is a founder of Ernest Jenning Record Company in Brooklyn and a freelance writer. He recently was showcase manager for the 2006 CMJ Music Marathon. Peter graduated from Chaminade High School in 1996 and received a bachelor's degree in English from Boston College in 2000.

The maid of honor was Kyle Zuaro, the bride's sister. The bridesmaids included Linda Kuczwaj, the groom's sister; and Rory Lyons and Kian Lyons, cousins of the bride.

Attending the groom were best man Michael Conklin and Donald Eschenauer, high school friends of the groom; Matthew Brown, a college roommate of the groom; and Gandhar Savur, a college roommate and business partner of the groom. The groom's godson, Thomas Kuczwaj, was the ring bearer.

Kara and Peter were introduced by a mutual friend in 2001. After a honeymoon in Spain and France, the couple resides in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.
