Rothschild Wins Estates POA Election

Village Trustee incumbent Robert Rothschild was victorious over John A. DeMaro in the January 30th Estates Property Owners' Association (EPOA) runoff election. The vote was 437 to 197.

The 15-member EPOA Nominating Committee had nominated DeMaro for the position and Rothschild had been nominated by a resident. Under the Unified Procedure of the Community Agreement, other candidates can be presented in writing with a petition, which must be signed by 15 residents residing in the Estates section.

Rothschild will now be the Estates Village Board Trustee candidate and will run for election on March 20 in the village-wide Board of Trustees election.

The Estates POA released the following statement: "The Estates POA and the Estates Election Committee extend congratulations to both Estates Runoff Candidates. They both ran very good election campaigns.

"Additionally, we extend 'Congratulations and Continued Success' to Rob Rothschild who has been elected as Estates Trustee Candidate. Rob will join all other sections candidates on the Unified Ballot for the Village wide election in March.

"Last, but not least The Estates POA, the Election Committee and both candidates thank all of the residents of the Estates for coming out to vote. 634 votes is a good showing, we encourage everyone to please exercise your right to vote in all elections. As usual, the Estates POA continues to welcome everyone and anyone in the Estates Section of the Village to get more involved in the Estates Property Owners' Association."
